When I was a small child ,around 5 years old, my dad went in with 3 other fellows and purchased either East or West Thurlow Island. We moved to the island and my dad built a trading post and post office there. Unfortunately, it burned to the ground a year and a half later (due to a wood stove place too close to a wall) and we had to move back to the states. I surely would love to know which island it actually was he purchased and if it is visitable today. I have a few distant memories of it. It had a stream with salmon that flowed behind our house. There was an old abandoned school house there and two other houses. The supply ship came in once a month. There was a native Indian tribe on the island and they liked my dad. The chief gave us a bear hide that we made into a rug. Anybody out there know anything about us? Best, Herb

I am not too sure how to use this message thing BUT, i am searching for a Lighthouse Keeper; Richard Wood. The Data sheet said he is presently on Pine Island. He was on Addenbroke Island in 1996, Ballenas Island in 1994.
He has an old friend searching for him and would really like to send him a hello. Remember Brian Hall? Please, if anyone knows how to contact Richard or knows his whereabouts, please email; raven846@ hotmail.com
