Hi there... We have started a project on our Campion and have a few items that people in this forum might be interested in. We have torn out the settee and have all the newly upholstered cushions that were professionally done and look like new for sale. As well the sliding table is available for sale. We also have a 9ft Avon inflatable with davits and standoffs that I don't need for sale as well. All fit nicely on our 310 Explorer. If anyone is interested I will look for a reply on the forum and we can work out the details to contact each other.
Hi Fred... Sorry it has been a while since I was last here. We are hard at the boat and have sold all the items I had for sale. Now I am looking for a set of hard shell weaver dinghy davits at a decent price. The settee is all removed and we are waiting for a custom coach we are having built to fit in there that pulls out to a queen bed. I am working on the engine hatch this weekend to have it all open with hatch shocks as one door instead of wrestling off two doors every time I want to look down there. I am preparing the swim grid now and am unsure if I should just teak oil it or put on some clear which will look nicer but more work down the road. Any suggestions anybody? Were are also looking to get some new canvass on it up top. Anyhow still lots to do and will try to get it in the water looking good in June.
It sounds like it is coming right along. Ours is back in the water she was out most of the winter having glass work done on the keel that I rubbed on a rock. (a dumb thing to do) Not that much work needed to be done just Getting it done in between the weather. We are heading to the boat for a few day on Thursday. I have a new GPS to up grade the lower helm. And a few little things to look after. Spring and boating weather is coming.
Hello All: I am interested in the Campion trawler. Could any of you enlighten me as to the hull and deck construction? It is solid, or cored? If cored, both deck and hull, or just deck? and if cored, what material? Thanks for any input.
From what I understand the front deck of the Campion 310 is and in my case was balsa cored. The previous owner had our front deck repaired from below and the sealing of the forward cabin redone. The rest of the boat is solid from what I can see.
Hi Fred or anybody who might know... We are looking for a miracle deal on Sunbrella Fabric for our Campion and have noticed it is alot cheaper in the states than here in Canada. I was wondering if anybody knows of any good suppliers that we could contact down there.?
Hi Rodger, It has been several years since we have gotten any. I do not remember if we got the last Sunbrella in Portland or on line. I would try the I boat northwet board (http://www.iboatnw.com/) They are mostly Puget Sound boaters and would know the best northern Washington places to shop for Sunbrella.
